    Lac des Mille Lacs
    This "Lake of a Thousand Lakes," contains many bays, lakes, inlets and channels. Fresh water fishing includes Walleye and Northern Pike. Outpost cabins are found along its shores.

    Lake Ontario
    One of the five Great Lakes of North America, Lake Ontario is bound on the north by the province of Ontario and Ontario's peninsula and New York State on the South. The lake is the smallest of all five Great Lakes.

    Lake Nipigon
    Lake Nipigon is the largest lake entirely within the boundaries of Ontario and is sometimes described as the sixth Great Lake. Lake Nipigon is known for its black-green pyroxene beaches, towering cliffs and its multiple lake islands. The surrounding lake basin is a crucial caribou habitat.

    Lake Superior
    Lake Superior is the largest of the five Great Lakes and is also the largest freshwater lake in the entire world, with a surface area of 82,000 sq km (32,000 sq mi). The lake seperates the province of Ontario and the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The lake is fed by over 200 rivers and the Sault Locks at Sault Ste. Marie allow ships to travel between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes.

    Nipigon River
    This river is an angler's dream - brook trout, walleye, rainbow trout and pink salmon are just some of the fish ready to be hooked. One of the world's biggest brook trouts was caught in the river in 1915, weighing 6.58 kg (14 lbs 8 oz). Call the Ministry of Natural resources for information on the special regulations of these waters.

    English River
    English River stretches 615 km (382 mi) and is a prime location for sport-fishing with such species as Walleye and Northern Pike found in its waters. A town with the same name is located in Western Ontario.
