    White River Heritage Museum
    Among White River's interesting history, Winnie-the-Pooh is many people's favourite. The bear that sparked the popular children's books was originally from White River—the museum traces this story as well as exhibits related historical artefacts. Other interesting artefacts include CP Rail paraphernalia and toy collectibles. Open weekdays from 9am to 7pm, and weekends from 10am to 4pm.

    Honouring Canada's armed forces, the museum features displays of uniforms, medals and early telegraphy and radio communication devices. Also impressive is the the recreated First World War bunker and a detailed model of a prison-of-war camp.

    Founders Museum & Pioneer Village

    A massive collection of artifacts displayed in realistic indoor and outdoor settings. This early 1900 Pioneer Village is unique to the area. Located on Hwy. 61 just south of Thunder Bay. Open Tuesday thru Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm from mid May through to the September long weekend. Group tours are welcome.
